Who is Op. Dr. İbrahim Çolhan?

General Surgery Specialist Opr. Dr. İbrahim Çolhan was born in Adana in 1980. He graduated from Adana Boys' High School, Foreign Language Intensive Department. He completed his medical education at Eskişehir Osmangazi University Faculty of Medicine between 1999 and 2005.

After his medical education, he passed the Medical Specialization Examination in 2006 and started working at Ankara Dışkapı Yıldırım Training and Research Hospital 1st General Surgery Clinic. During his specialization training, he particularly developed himself in the fields of oncology, laparoscopic surgery, and breast diseases surgery.

In 2012, he received his General Surgery Specialization Certificate with his experimental thesis titled "Effect on anastomosis healing in rats in a colon anastomosis model."

After completing his mandatory service at the state hospital in Kurtalan district of Siirt, he continued his work as a general surgery specialist in the private sector in Istanbul. He focused on advanced surgical techniques such as surgical endoscopy and metabolic obesity surgery in various private hospitals.

During this period, he received surgical endoscopy training at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Surgical Endoscopy. Currently, at İskenderun State Hospital, he serves his patients with a wide range of general surgery operations, endoscopic and laparoscopic surgical procedures, mainly in the field of breast cancer and breast diseases surgery. He also has a good command of English and an intermediate level of German.
